Last week, our colleague, Raquel Freitas attended the event: “Portugal Renewable Energy Summit 2021”. The conference, organized by APREN – “Associação Portuguesa de Energías Renováveis”, took place on November 9 and 10 in Lisbon, at the Culturgest’s “Grande Auditorium”.

The attendance format for the Portugal Renewable Energy Summit 2021 was hybrid, allowing those who could not attend in person to participate online, and brought together more than 50 professionals at the national and international level to debate at the tables during the two days. In addition, the Minister of the Environment and Climate Action, João Pedro Matos Fernandes and the Undersecretary of State and Energy, João Galamba were part of the public that attended the conference.

Our colleague, Raquel Frreitas, from the engineering department of Enerland Group Portugal, was part of the audience on behalf of the company. “It has been a privilege to participate and represent Enerland at this event. In it I was able to have an overview of the position of Portugal and Europe in terms of renewable energy and the challenges that we still have to face to achieve the Fit for 55 Goals, established in Glasgow during the COP. -26 and what we, as a community, government agencies and private companies can do to make those goals a reality.

More than 50 specialists gathered, together with government organizations and major market players with the sole objective: to set Portugal as an example in terms of renewable energy, decarbonisation, hydrogen production and self-consumption systems ”.

Enerland attends the Portugal Renewable Energy Summit 2021 It is a pleasure to have been able to attend this event, which focused on analyzing the objectives of Fit for 55, and then the current situation in Portugal in the energy sector, which established the goal of reaching 2.5 GW of green hydrogen in the country. Currently, our company has more than 35MW of photovoltaic energy under development in Portugal, so meetings like last week are key to knowing in depth the needs of present and future projects.
