At Enerland Group, we are proud to have been invited by Amazon to the launch event for the report Powering the Low-Carbon Economy: How Amazon’s Investments Boost Europe’s Growth and Competitiveness, produced in collaboration with Frontier Economics and funded by Amazon.

The event, held on 25 June and organized by Euractiv, highlighted the initiatives the company is driving to accelerate the decarbonization of its operations in Europe and brought together some of the partners making this progress possible.

“Taking part in this event and being recognized as one of Amazon’s strategic partners in the roll-out of renewable energy solutions is a significant acknowledgement of the work carried out by the entire Enerland team over recent years. We would like to thank Amazon for the trust they have placed in our company and for the opportunity to contribute, project by project, to building a more efficient and sustainable logistics model,” added Juan Milagro, International Expansion and Key Account Manager at Monticell (the Enerland Group’s distributed generation brand).

Our collaboration has resulted in the development of 20 on site systems in 17 facilities in Spain and Italy, with a combined total capacity of 30.4 MW, helping to reduce the environmental impact of Amazon’s operations and reinforcing its commitment to the energy transition.

Among the most notable projects is Amazon SVQ1, located at the Dos Hermanas logistics center in Seville, Spain. This installation has been included in the report as Amazon’s largest on-site solar installation in the EU, a project designed to maximize the site’s energy potential. With over 13,300 photovoltaic modules and an installed capacity of 5.26 MW, it combines a large solar roof with photovoltaic canopies, making it a benchmark within Amazon’s European renewable energy generation strategy.

In addition to this milestone is the project carried out at Amazon RMU1 in Murcia, Spain, where Enerland implemented Amazon’s first battery energy storage system in Europe. With a capacity of 1 MW, this project marked a further step towards integrating innovative solutions to optimize energy management.

This recognition reflects the value of strategic partnerships in accelerating the energy transition and demonstrates that collaboration between companies is key to moving towards a future with lower emissions.

At Enerland, we look forward to tackling the challenges ahead alongside Amazon, confident that innovation, technical excellence and a commitment to sustainability will continue to form the foundation upon which we build new projects. Thank you for placing your trust in our team and for allowing us to be part of an initiative that is helping to transform Europe’s energy future.
