Enerland Group begins its first projects in Guatemala. In total, the multinational will be present in nine countries in the American continent.

The Spanish company Enerland Group continues its consolidation in Latin America with the opening of its office in Guatemala, starting its activities in the country with the construction of its first photovoltaic plant, this time for the client MPC Energy Solutions.

Following the success of the 21.4 MWp Santa Rosa y Villa Sol plant in 2022, Enerland is once again working with the German company for the integral construction of 66 MWp Magdalena Solar. The plant is expected to be commissioned mid-2025, with a generation capacity of 141 GWh per year of 100% green energy.

“The entry of Enerland into Guatemala will mark a milestone in our role in the energy sector in Latin America. It is a country with great potential for photovoltaic generation and a great interest in achieving the energy transition in the region”, said Dany Reyes, Country Manager at Enerland El Salvador.

José Alfambra, Area Manager at Enerland Spain and Latin America, added, “We are convinced that we can contribute enormously, with our clients, in achieving this objective, just as we have already done in the different countries where the company is located”.

New headquarters in the region

In 2021, Enerland Group started its first engineering projects for the design of photovoltaic plants in Guatemala, as well as the development of field tests such as “Pull Out Tests” (POT) for some of its clients in the country. The company has also actively participated in energy sector events to gain in-depth knowledge about the current situation in the region and its needs.

At the beginning of 2024, Enerland Group officially opened its new office, located in the capital, especifically in the Torre Citibank complex, and is expected to continue to promote both its EPC “Turnkey” and Operation and Maintenance services throughout the territory.
