We continue our expansion in Portugal and beat the world photovoltaic record in € / MWh offered.

A year ago, in 2019, Enerland began its expansion activity in the neighboring country. Thanks to a tender, our Enerland Portugal headquarters won the auction to carry out a 15MW photovoltaic energy project. At that time, an offer of € 26.57 / MWh was proposed. Today, just one year later, we are proud to announce that Enerland Portugal has not only won a new auction through a tender, but also broke the world photovoltaic record in terms of € / MWh offered!

On August 25, € 11.14 / MWh were offered for lot number seven of the solar auction held in the Portuguese country. Emphasizing that this figure is more than half that offered in the tender a year ago. Thanks to this proposal, we have won the award of the small 10MW photovoltaic project. This proposal was made with a contract under the CFD modality or contract for difference.

The offer of € 11.14 / MWh has broken the world record in the photovoltaic industry in terms of € / MWh offered. The previous record was obtained in Abu Dhabi during an auction whose offered price was € 11.60 / MWh. Which is € 0.46 / MWh above our current proposal.

Thanks to the award of these new projects, we already have 25MW in development in Portugal and we hope to continue growing.

At Enerland we are constantly growing and we are committed to a sustainable future. The energy transition must evolve towards a renewable model that makes it possible to take advantage of resources without negatively affecting the planet. Thanks to the awareness of the institutions, this model is now possible. Committed to the goals stipulated by the UN in its 2030 agenda , we intend to support acceleration of this transition to a better future.
