Visit to the Pitarco Photovoltaic Park during the first phase of its construction, which is advancing by leaps and bounds.

Last week our colleagues paid a visit to the Pitarco Photovoltaic Park during the first phase of its construction. In it they were able to observe the different phases that take place simultaneously in the more than 100 hectares of land.

The entire surface of the photovoltaic plant is divided into 10 work areas through which Francisco Pérez, supervisor of the work, made the tour. During it, our colleague was explaining in detail the process in which each of them is.

On this occasion, as the first contact with the construction phase, it was Sandra Pascual and Juan Guimbao, technical engineers from Monticell together with our colleagues from the Marketing and Communication department, Pilar Asta and Ana Valdizán, who were able to observe first-hand the development of it.

“It has been my first approach to the work of a photovoltaic plant. While in Monticell, I am used to working with self-consumption installations, through this type of visit, it is surprising to see the size of the park. On the other hand, they draw attention the great differences between the two types of photovoltaic installations: earthworks, fencing or driving, among others… I really want to go back and see the evolution of the different phases. I thank Enerland for the opportunity to be able to visiting these types of parks. It has been a very enriching experience. In addition, it makes me grow professionally in this field”, Sandra Pascual, Technical Engineer at Monticell, industrial photovoltaic self-consumption division.

About the project

Located on a large area of land adjoining the Pitarco Industrial Estate, in the municipality of Muel, Zaragoza, this solar plant will connect a power of 62 MWp to the grid. It will be the largest execution of Enerland in the Iberian Peninsula so far. The Pitarco solar park will produce approximately an average annual energy of 122,603 MWh. This renewable energy is equivalent to the electricity needed for the consumption of more than 29,679 Spanish homes.
