External news

It is already customary that each year annual forecasts are made for any field and sector. Therefore, those related to the energy sector are always of great interest. Above all, renewables. For this reason, predictions about the future of photovoltaic solar installations worldwide in 2022 have been compiled:

  •  More than 200 GW of solar energy will be installed
  • At the end of this 2021 there was a price increase of the modules. This was due to the strong demand that there was that year. This time, they are expected to fall again as output rises, easing the supply crunch.
  • Solar power and installed storage will double. The largest markets will be China and the United States.
  • Solar power manufacturing capacity will continue to grow. In addition, solar factories will be announced in countries outside of China.

Meanwhile, Spain has managed to far exceed the objectives set for 2030. This will mean that decarbonisation is advanced, electricity prices fall and that it is one step closer to energy independence.
