We announce that the execution of our first solar park in the province of Cáceres has been completed. After several months of execution, Enerland Spain concludes the “La Pizarra” project. This photovoltaic installation will generate a power of 9,782.08 kWp.

A few months ago, we published the beginning of the execution of our first photovoltaic park in the province of Cáceres, Spain. Fulfilling the scheduled dates, today, we announce that the La Pizarra solar park has been completed.

In this case, Enerland Spain has carried out the complete execution through a “turnkey” service. For the project, the purchase of the structure, the central inverters and the modules was managed. In addition, the logistics necessary to transport the 34 containers of material from China to Cáceres were fully managed in these difficult times .

On the other hand, the mechanical assembly has also been coordinated including the driving carried out with predrilling , the complete civil works including the construction of the evacuation substation and the distribution of the client. Finally, the entire electrical installation of the solar plant has been completed.

La Pizarra photovoltaic park

On an area of approximately 20 hectares of land, the execution of the La Pizarra solar park has been completed. The new photovoltaic plant will produce an average annual energy of 19,785MWh. This figure will be the equivalent of the electricity consumed by more than 6,500 Spanish households.

On the other hand, taking into account the technical figures of the project, for the execution a structure with trackers on one axis has been installed. Subsequently, the project was completed with the assembly of more than 20,000 photovoltaic panels and 3 inverters. In addition to the construction of the park, the complete execution of the transformation center has also been carried out.

Finally, for the construction of this project, 80 jobs were created.

Extremadura, photovoltaic power in Spain

Extremadura is the Spanish community that installed the greatest photovoltaic power during 2020 . Specifically, during the past year, more than 1,300 new MW were installed. In addition to the previous installations, the region has 2,568 MW. This growth of 105.9% positioned Extremadura as the region with the highest increase in solar energy generation in the last year. On the other hand, an additional figure to highlight is that its photovoltaic energy production alone accounts for 22.2% of the country’s total production.

On the other hand, taking into account sustainability, the production of solar energy avoids the emission of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Betting on the production of this type of energy is betting on the planet and the future. During the past year, the emission-free production of the photovoltaic facilities located in Extremadura reached the highest quota in the entire country. This figure came to represent 99.7% of production. With the new La Pizarra solar plant, the emission of more than 6,700 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere will be avoided. The reduction of these gases contributes, on the one hand, to increasing the numbers of the community while, on the other hand, it collaborates in the achievement of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
