Once again, Enerland Group was present at Energyear Colombia 2025, held in Medellín. Carolina Sandoval, Head of Business Development in the country, participated as a speaker in one of the panels.
On May 28 and 29, the most relevant congress of the renewable energy industry in Colombia took place: Energyear Colombia 2025. In this edition, Carolina Sandoval, our Head of Business Development for the region, participated as a speaker in the panel discussion “Solar developments in Colombia: strategies and challenges to make projects a reality in the country”. Last 2024, our colleague Erika Rueda was who represented the company in one of the segments of the event, as we shared in this article.
During her speech, Carolina spoke about her experiences in business development in the sector, emphasizing the importance of the proximity to the communities. She also addresed the role of distributed generation and its contribution to the sustainable growth of the industry. “It was an honor to be part of this panel, where we discussed important issues in the development of projects in Colombia”, shared Carolina.
Among the conclusions, the following were highlighted:
- The search for strategies among project stakeholders is of great relevance for their own progress.
- Understanding the needs of a country from the technical to the cultural aspects facilitates the success of the projects.
- Involving new technologies such as storage systems would avoid imbalance in the system.
SER Colombia
In addition to Energyear Colombia 2025, last May Enerland Group participated in the 8th Renewable Energy Meeting, held in Barranquilla. This event, organized by the SER Colombia Association, brought together the main topics, trends, and prospects for the future of the renewable energy market in the country.
During this event, our Country Manager Óscar Berrío, our Head of Business Development, Carolina Sandoval, our Construction Manager, Rafael Rodríguez, and our Development Coordinator, Yolanda Suárez, had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the challenges faced by renewable energy projects in their development stage, as well as the lessons learnt in the Colombian context.
“This meeting has allowed us to explore opportunities for collaboraiton with strategic allies so that, through a joint vision, we can continue to promote the energy transition in the country”, shared Yolanda Suárez, Development Coordinator at Enerland Group Colombia.
