Enerland Group promotes solar energy in Guatemala with the inauguration of Magdalena Solar I, built for MPC Energy Solutions.

This past summer, Enerland Group Guatemala completed the construction of Magdalena Solar I, a photovoltaic energy project developed for MPC Energy Solutions, thus marking a decisive step forward in the expansion of clean energies in the country.

This new solar plant, located in La Democracia, Escuintla, has an installed capacity of 66 MWp and marks a double milestone for both companies. For MPC Energy Solutions, it represents its first solar plant in Guatemala, while for Enerland Group it marks the completion of its first construction project in Guatemala.

This achievement reaffirms the commitment of both companies to sustainable development and the promotion of renewable energy in Central America. Magdalena Solar I will not only help reduce CO2 emissions, but will also have a positive impact on the local economy by creating jobs and strengthening the energy infrastructure of the country.

The success of Magdalena Solar I reflects the shared vision of Enerland and MPC Energy Solutions: to prioritize innovation, sustainability and international cooperation as the cornerstones of future energy development. “With projects such as this one, Guatemala is positioning itself as a regional leader in harnessing its solar potential, demonstrating that collaboration among commited companies can positively transform the energy landscape of an entire region”, added José Alfambra, Area Manager LATAM at Enerland Group.

Magdalena Solar I not only powers Guatemalan homes with clean energy, it also symbolizes a new dawn for renewable energy in Central America.
