Enerland Group has completed the construction of PV plant Laranjeiras, in the Portuguese region of Alentejo, connecting 10.8 MWp of clean and sustainable solar energy to the grid.

After several months of work, Enerland Group has successfully completed the construction and commissioning of PV plant Laranjeiras for its client Aquila Clean Energy. With an installed capacity of 10.8 MW, the plant has been developed using the latest technologies, and in accordance with the highest quality, security and sustainability standards.

The project features 18,200 photovoltaic modules, capable of generating an estimated output of 20.7 GWh/year, enough to meet the energy needs of up to 6,300 Portuguese households. This installation will avoid the emmission of between 16,000 and 53,000 tons of CO2 per year, contributing significantly to the decarbonization goals of the country.

Efficiency in construction processes, integration with the surrounding environment, and resource optimization have been priorities during the execution of the project, with the aim of ensuring a positive impact on both the local community and in Portugal’s energy transition.

“The commissioning of PV plant Laranjeiras strengthens the relationship of trust that we havewith Aquila Clean Energy and solidifies Enerland Group’s position as a strategic partner in the development of renewable infrastructure in Europe”, noted Miguel Subtil, Country Manager at Enerland Group in Portugal.

This new project represents another step forward in the commitment of the company to expanding clean energy and meeting European climate goals.

Enerland Group in Portugal

Since opening our office in Portugal back in 2019, Enerland Group has established its presence in the country as a developer, constructor and operator of renewable energy projects. We currently have a pipeline of over 20 MW in photovoltaic and wind energy projects under development, reflecting our commitment to the energy transition and the decarbonization of the Portuguese electricity system.

With Laranjeiras, we have completed our fourth project in Portugal. This milestone will soon be joined by the 10.8 MWp PV plant Aldeia da Serra, also developed for Aquila Clean Energy, which is scheduled to be connected to the grid shortly.

This track record underscores Enerland Group’s commitment to Portugal as a strategic market in Europe, and its dedication to being a leading partner in the promotion of clean energy.
