Today, we announced our new photovoltaic project in Tunisia: the Sidi Bouzid solar park. Our proposal was the winner in the second round of the tender published by the Tunisian Ministry of Energy.

The new photovoltaic project located in Tunisia will have an area of 20 hectares of land on which more than 22,600 photovoltaic modules will be installed and it is expected that it will generate a power of 10MWp.

Following our international expansion plan, Sidi Bouzid will become our first execution carried out on the African continent. With this, they will be 4 the continents in which we are present.

The North African region is booming. The growth of the industrial and construction sector, together with the demographic increase, has caused a considerable positive rise in energy demand.

Tunisia is one of the North African countries most aware of the energy transition and its production. With the country’s premise to make efforts to invest in its solar resources, we are proud to be part of the objective of reaching 4.7 GW of clean energy capacity by 2030.

Located in the geographical area of Sidi Bouzid, this project is in a strategic location for the production of photovoltaic solar energy. On the one hand, it is located in a receiving area with high levels of solar radiation. While, on the other hand, it has a large space to carry out the installations without damaging the environment.

New photovoltaic project in Tunisia

An ambitious project, but one of which we are very proud to be a part. More and more countries are taking the initiative, changing their energy model to a much greener one.

With an investment of more than 10.7 billion dollars and well set goals, we are pleased to share this news that brings so much change. We look forward to seeing how the project progresses!
