News

This month of July 2021 is loaded with news. We are increasingly active on LinkedIn. So we are very proud to see the progress. As we do not want you to be overwhelmed with so much information, we are going to make a summary.

This July 2021 we have had a series of events and internal news with our colleagues. First of all, our colleagues from Developments participated in the webinar: Access and connection to the transport network, organized by Red Eléctrica, Spain. It covered the procedure for requests for generation access and connection through the new REE telematics platform. We also conducted a survey so everyone could guess what the next step for Enerland was.

Externally, there has been a lot of news in the sector. Our country has positioned itself as one of the most competitive countries in terms of solar energy installation. In particular, it has managed to overtake China. Making us a paradise to install solar panels with the best prices. Our colleague, José Alfambra , Area Manager at Enerland Group share your opinion with us. “Spain is one of the most attractive countries for investment in renewables. The maturity of the market, the alignment between the main players and the experience of their companies, makes it possible to become the most competitive country in Europe and one of the largest in the world, to install photovoltaics ”.

Finally, on July 13, the president of Colombia, Iván Duque approved the Energy Transition Law. This allows the promotion of renewable energies from unconventional sources to be incorporated into its generation matrix. These would include: blue hydrogen, green hydrogen and geothermal energy.

Industry reports

The UNEF Unión Española Fotovoltaica published its Annual Report 2021, entitled “Photovoltaic solar energy, opportunity for sustainability ”, with the results of the photovoltaic sector in 2020 at international, European and national level.” SolarPower Europe also published his own study, the “Global Market Outlook 2021-2025”, where the results of the photovoltaic sector are collected worldwide.

It is satisfying to know that the countries in which we are present are making progress year after year in the solar energy sector. Being or not in a ranking is not a competition. It is the reflection that we are committed to changing the way we live and taking care of the planet we live on.
