This November 2021, we launched Monticell, Enerland Group’s new commercial brand. Focused on the area of industrial photovoltaic self-consumption, it will have its own website and LinkedIn profile.
We have ended this month with a very special launch for the company: a new commercial brand for a much more specific business area, self-consumption. We will also share a summary of the news from November 2021 that accompanied this launch:
Internal news November 2021
This month, we welcomed new colleagues, this time from the Italian branch. We continue to grow in other countries, as do the projects we are working on. Emanuele Canterino and Patrick Vasta will be responsible for optimising and coordinating the best solution for the location of each of our photovoltaic plants in Italy.
In addition, our CEO, Manuel Balet, took part in a round table organised by Heraldo and led by BBVA. The debate focused on European funds and the importance of backing business energy efficiency. Our conclusion: “There is not planet B”, and change is necessary and urgent.
Finally, the event we sponsored, “Todo se puede entrenar”, was at last held, where Toni Nadal spoke about the values of sport and how motivation, enthusiasm, effort and resilience were key to achieving success in almost every area of life. It was a great success and we could not be prouder.

External news
In 2018, conventional energy production in Spain stood at 62%, while renewables did not reach 40%. However, things have changed. Last year, the balance began to level out, with both nearing 50%.
In Italy, the Minister for Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani, drafted a decree to speed up the transition from traditional fuels to renewable sources. Time is a major enemy in the fight against global warming. Italy cannot remain in the position it is currently in; we must keep working so as not to fall behind.
Finally, in China, according to the National Energy Administration, China's installed renewable energy generation capacity reached 1.002 billion KW, doubling the figure recorded in 2015. The country has become a global leader in wind, solar, biomass and hydroelectric power generation, with future targets of a 20% increase by 2025.
