Enerland Group takes part in a reforestation plan in El Salvador together with MPC Capital.
Last week our client, MPC Capital, organised a forest restoration day in El Salvador. The reforestation initiative aimed to plant 2,000 trees of native species, including Leucaena, Madrecacao, Maquilishua, Pacún and San Andrés.
More than 150 people took part in the reforestation event in El Salvador. They were joined voluntarily by around ten of our colleagues in El Salvador and their families. Likewise, 25 people from the various subcontractors we work with in the country were invited. In addition, Enerland supported the organisers by providing a marquee that allowed participants to enjoy shade throughout the event.
Finally, during the intensive day, a thousand specimens were planted, whose conservation will subsequently be supported. Through this type of initiative, we contribute to achieving a greener, more sustainable planet. Caring for the environment and nature should be everyone’s goal, regardless of the country we are in.
We would like to congratulate our colleagues and their families for joining this green initiative. We would also like to acknowledge and thank MPC Capital and MPC Energy Solutions for inviting us to take part in their forest replanting plan.
Tree-planting initiatives
A few weeks ago, our colleagues from Enerland Group in Spain also took part in a similar event. Our employees, together with their families, voluntarily took part in a fun tree-planting event. Its aim was to support the commitment of EUC PLAZA and to promote the development of green areas in the industrial estate. Thanks to this type of initiative, more than 3,000 tonnes of CO2 are absorbed each year. In addition, they improve the aesthetic qualities of the surroundings, as the plantings act as thermal regulators, among other benefits such as retaining pollutants and reducing stress.
