At Enerland Group, we are pleased to present the Lamitech Solar Plant, a photovoltaic self-consumption project that we delivered for Lamitech, a manufacturer and marketer of high-pressure laminates, in partnership with Promigas and Surtigas, two key companies in Colombia's natural gas energy sector.
The Lamitech Solar Plant has an installed capacity of 2.3 MWp, designed to make a significant contribution to reducing the Colombian company's conventional energy consumption and lowering its carbon footprint. The project, delivered over a six-month period by our team in Colombia, with 115 direct and indirect employees involved throughout, reflects not only the technical scale of the installation, but also its positive impact on job creation and on stimulating the local economy.
The plant covers a total area of 22,000 square metres and consists of 3,711 photovoltaic modules, carefully arranged to maximise solar energy capture and ensure optimum performance under the area's climatic conditions. Thanks to this infrastructure, Enerland has supported Lamitech, in partnership with Promigas and Surtigas, in its firm move towards a more sustainable energy model, aligned with global trends in efficiency and environmental responsibility in the industrial sector.
Enerland Group and self-consumption
At Enerland Group, we have spent more than 15 years delivering photovoltaic installations on roofs and industrial and commercial surfaces (ground-mounted self-consumption plants) nationally and internationally, adapting each project to the specific needs of our clients.
It was in this context that Monticell was born, our brand specialising in this type of solution. Launched by the parent company in Spain in 2021, Monticell has since operated exclusively in the Spanish market with efficient, reliable energy projects geared towards decarbonising the country’s business fabric.
"With this new installation in Colombia, we reaffirm our commitment to the global energy transition and to supporting companies that are committed to a more sustainable future. We continue moving forward, convinced that solar energy is a key part of responsible and competitive industrial development," adds Brayan Bernal - Project Manager at Enerland Group Colombia.
