We are announcing that the installation of the solar park in Colombia has been completed. After several months of work, Enerland Colombia has finished the project. This installation, carried out under the self-consumption model, will generate a capacity of 5.5 MWp-4.5 MWac.

Through the work carried out by our Enerland Colombia office, we are pleased to announce that, after four months, the solar park in Colombia has been successfully completed! This brings the total to 14 projects in the Americas.

This solar project covers an area of 13 hectares located in the city of Arjona, Bolívar, Colombia. This installation will supply, under the self-consumption, enough energy to supply a raw water pumping station. This ground-mounted photovoltaic plant it has Huawei inverters, a 2V Gonvarri tracker structure and 12,330 Longi 450 Wp modules.

The renewable energy produced by it solar park will generate an output of 5.5 MWp-4.5 MWac. This means producing the electricity consumed by approximately 37,600 Colombian households. In addition, we are committed to the development of a more sustainable planet. This installation contributes to the objectives established by the the UN in its 2030 Agenda. Thanks to it, both the emission of more than 38,600 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere and the reduction in electricity costs, which make it more affordable.

From an energy perspective, Colombia had always been a country whose main source of electricity came from non-renewables. With more than 50 million inhabitants, the climate and environmental changes, meant that this situation could not last forever, so the country began in the middle of the last century to implement a energy transition a renewable alternatives and clean for the planet.

Together with Peru, they are considered one of the countries with the greatest potential for the installation of off-grid projects, due to its large rural populations and the high cost of diesel generation. In addition, as it is located in the equatorial zone, the level of solar radiation is among the highest on the planet.
