We are announcing our new photovoltaic project in Mexico. This new solar park, located in Cajeme, will connect 10 MW of capacity to the electricity grid.

Today, we are presenting our new photovoltaic project in Mexico. With this new park, Enerland aims to strengthen its presence in the region. We now have 5 facilities solar parks.

Our new photovoltaic project in Mexico is located in the municipality of Cajeme, Sonora. It covers approximately 20 hectares of rural land free from environmental constraints. In addition, it will supply 10 MW to the electricity grid. Under an EPC* contract model, our subsidiary will deliver the full engineering, supply and construction services for the solar plant.

Furthermore, in terms of the more technical aspects of the project, 31,320 photovoltaic modules will be installed for its construction, together with 270 single-axis trackers and 64 Huawei inverters.

Together with the rest of our solar plants in Mi Ranchito, Delicias, Ometepec y Janssen, Cajeme contributes to achieving the SDGs established by the the UN in its 2030 Agenda. Thanks to it, by generating clean energy, the emission of more than 55,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere is avoided. As a result, the industry's negative impact on the greenhouse effect is reduced.

The Mexican solar market has been evolving continuously for years. During 2018, 2.8 GW of renewable energy was installed. Thanks to this growth, the country managed to position itself as one of the ten markets worldwide with the highest solar power generation. Specifically, in the 2019 ranking published by Solar Global, ranks seventh. For this reason, at Enerland Mexico we remain committed to the development of photovoltaics.

*The acronym EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement and Construction.
