Construction begins on our new photovoltaic park in Spain. Located in Torremocha, Cáceres, this new solar plant will connect 9,782.08 kWp to the grid.

Today marks the start of construction of our new photovoltaic park in Spain. La Pizarra will become our first solar park project in Extremadura. Located on an area of approximately 20 hectares in the town of Torremocha, Cáceres, this solar plant will connect 9,782.08 kWp to the grid.

On this occasion, a contract has been signed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). Through this type of agreement, we offer our clients a turnkey service for the full delivery of the project. In this way, Enerland takes responsibility for all the activities and procedures required to bring the installation into operation.

La Pizarra photovoltaic park

The La Pizarra solar plant will produce an estimated average annual output of 19,785 MWh. This energy, obtained from a renewable source such as the sun, will be equivalent to the electricity consumed by more than 6,500 Spanish households.

Furthermore, in terms of the project's technical figures, a structure with single-axis trackers will be installed as part of the works. Subsequently, the facility will be completed with more than 20,000 photovoltaic panels and 3 inverters. In addition to the construction of the plant, the transformer substation will also be fully delivered.

Finally, in view of the project’s key dates, it is expected that commissioning will take place in September next year.

Enerland in Spain

Spain is one of the countries in the world that receives the highest average level of solar radiation throughout the year. Harnessing a natural and unlimited resource to generate renewable energy offers numerous benefits for both society and the planet. One of the most important is that photovoltaic energy production, compared with the generation of other conventional forms of energy, avoids the emission of tonnes of CO2 and other polluting gases into the atmosphere.

Investing in renewable energy is the future. Let's keep backing the transition to sustainable energy.

With this, there will now be four of our photovoltaic parks on the Iberian Peninsula and 18 worldwide.
