We are showing the progress of Phase I of the Pitarco PV Plant: site preparation and earthworks.

A few months ago, we announced the start of works on our new project in the region of Aragon. Today, we are showing you the progress of the initial works carried out in the construction of Phase I of the PFV Pitarco, located in Muel.

The importance of site preparation

During this initial phase, site preparation and earthmoving have been carried out across the more than 100 hectares this solar plant will cover. For us, it is truly important to take into account the area where we locate our solar plants. Carrying out detailed environmental studies of the surroundings and the elements that make them up is vital in order to avoid negatively affecting them. For this reason, before undertaking site preparation and earthmoving works, we pay particular attention to archaeological and topographical work. Thanks to this, we ensure our impact on the environment is kept to a minimum.

In addition, the video also shows the game fence that has been installed around the entire perimeter of the solar park. The main feature of this type of fencing is a large opening at the bottom and a wide distance between the posts. Thanks to both measures, the area can be protected without interfering with the free movement of local wildlife.

Shortly, phase II will begin, during which pile driving will start and the structures on which the photovoltaic modules will be installed will then be put in place. During this second phase, the results of the good work carried out in the stage shown below will begin to be seen.

Pitarco, with a capacity of 62 MWp, once construction is completed, will generate an average annual output of 122,603 MWh, creating great value for our region in terms of sustainability.
