Enerland Group has completed construction of the Honda 1 photovoltaic plant in Colombia, with a capacity of 12.3 MWp.
Enerland Group continues to strengthen its presence in Latam, specifically in Colombia, where it has completed construction of the Honda 1 photovoltaic plant for its client Atlántica. The plant has a capacity of 12.3 MWp and covers almost 21 hectares, where a total of 18,816 solar panels were installed. It will generate nearly 25,000 MWh of renewable energy per year, equivalent to the amount needed to supply 18,201 Colombian households. It will also prevent 7,626 tonnes of polluting gases from being emitted into the atmosphere each year, contributing to the country’s sustainable development.
This plant joins Enerland’s international portfolio in Colombia, making it the 5th plant built and commissioned in the country. Thanks Atlántica for trusting us to carry out this project.
Corporate Social Responsibility in Honda 1
In line with the standards of quality and respect for the fauna and flora living in the areas where the company operates, the development of Honda 1 pursued excellence in the work carried out, prioritising both environmental and social factors:
- Training in solid waste management, wildlife management and the care of natural resources
- Donation of recyclable waste such as reels and pallets for use in crafts such as making tables. These materials can be put to good use by the community
- Creation of local employment through the hiring of nearly 160 direct and indirect employees. As with all construction works, a training plan is implemented to prepare all staff in safety, prevention and potential risks
