Last week, on 22 and 23 May, the Renpower Central America 2024 Regional Renewable Energy conference took place in Guatemala, where Enerland Group attended as sponsors.
With the aim of combating the effects of climate change, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) opened the Regional Renewable Energy conference “Renpower Centroamérica 2024”, where Enerland Group took part as one of the sponsors. José Alfambra, Area Manager for Spain and Latam, and Dany Reyes, Country Manager for Central America, attended on behalf of the company during the meeting.
"The main objective of our entry into Guatemala is to strengthen our role in the energy sector in Latin America. At Enerland, we are certain that we will make a major contribution to achieving the region's energy targets. We hope to continue participating actively in future activities held within the sector," adds José Alfambra.
About the meeting
The event lasted two days, where Renpower Central America 2024 featured the participation of expert representatives from private companies, international organisations, and officials from government institutions who will lead the dialogue to promote a sustainable and responsible economy in the region.
This 3rd edition, in which Víctor Hugo Ventura, Minister of Energy and Mines, took part, focused on actions to drive the country's energy transition, and events of this kind are a major opportunity to discuss how to catalyse the transition and ensure energy security in the Northern Triangle.
