On 29 and 30 October, colleagues from Colombia and Spain attended Future Energy Summit 2024 in Colombia, where Carolina Sandoval, Enerland’s Commercial Director in the region, took part as a speaker.
The Future Energy Summit 2024 event was held in Colombia on 29 and 30 October. Once again, Enerland once again took part in the country's most important renewable industry congress. This time, our Regional Commercial Director, Carolina Sandoval, took part as a speaker in the panel discussion: Advancing the energy transition in the Andean region: opportunities, standout projects and a vision for the future.
Together with leading figures from the most important companies and organisations in the energy sector, they addressed the keys to continuing to drive decarbonisation and the energy transition in Latin America. Carolina shared some of the event’s conclusions with us.
- We continue to pursue an ambitious goal for 2026, in which the execution of renewable projects is essential, with plans to do so in the very short term
- Barriers still exist, and they should be minimised in order to achieve those objectives
- Partnerships and strategies among players in the sector are essential and must be aligned and communicated with one another
- There is an optimistic outlook with opportunities in the private sector for the delivery of renewable generation projects
- Processes must be more agile and effective
- Private investment is necessary
The congress, held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bogotá, Colombia, brought together experts from around the world for discussion panels, talks and networking sessions over the course of those two days. Attending from Enerland Colombia were Óscar Berrío, Country Manager for Colombia, Juan Pablo, Engineering Director, and Rafael Rodríguez, Electrical Engineer. In addition, José Alfambra, Area Manager for Spain and LATAM, and Andrés Arcos, Site Manager, were also present from Spain.
We are sharing a few images from the event.
