Enerland takes part in Tree Day, an event organised by PLAZA
Enerland Group takes part in the Tree Day event organised by EUC PLAZA in Zaragoza, Spain.
The event organisers, firm in their commitment to promoting environmental improvement, put forward this proposal: Tree Day. Through it, they encouraged workers from the various companies located in the Plaza Industrial Estate and their families to take part in a collective tree planting. Spending an enjoyable time together and enjoying the good weather and nature in company were the aims of this initiative, in which some of our colleagues took part with their sons and daughters.
Tree Day
First, the organisation gave a simple explanation with instructions on how to carry out the planting, as well as on the species that would be planted. Afterwards, the families were organised into different shifts to carry out the activity. Once they had been given the tools, trees and guards, they proceeded with the planting. Finally, the organisation’s staff checked that everything had been done correctly.
The event was a great success. At Enerland, we support initiatives that seek to improve the environment around us, as well as those that encourage the development of a sustainable environment and environmentally responsible. Let us work towards a better, more sustainable future!
Environmental commitment
The PLAZA logistics and industrial platform, where Enerland Group's headquarters is located, currently has extensive green spaces. It now covers 645,000 m2, including 23,000 trees, 12,000 shrubs and 315,000 m2 of green areas. It is worth noting that, as they develop, these plantings absorb more than 3,000 tonnes of CO2 each year and provide a wildlife refuge. They also enhance the aesthetic quality of the surroundings and act as thermal regulators, among other benefits such as retaining pollutants and reducing stress.
