At Enerland Group, we are proud to have been invited by Amazon to the presentation event for the report Powering the Low-Carbon Economy: How Amazon’s Investments Boost Europe’s Growth and Competitiveness, produced in collaboration with Frontier Economics and funded by Amazon.

The meeting, held on 25 June and organised by Euractiv, highlighted the initiatives the company is promoting to accelerate the decarbonisation of its operations in Europe and brought together some of the partners making this progress possible.

"Taking part in this event and being recognised as one of Amazon's strategic partners in the rollout of renewable energy solutions is an important acknowledgement of the work carried out by the entire Enerland team over recent years. We would like to thank Amazon for the trust placed in our company and for the opportunity to contribute, project by project, to the creation of a more efficient and sustainable logistics model," added Juan Milagro, International Expansion and Key Account Manager at Monticell (Enerland Group's distributed generation brand)

Our collaboration has led to the installation of 20 systems at 17 sites in Spain and Italy, with a combined total peak capacity of 30.4 MW, helping to reduce the environmental impact of Amazon’s operations and reinforcing its commitment to the energy transition.

Amazon

Among the most emblematic projects is Amazon SVQ1, located at the logistics centre in Dos Hermanas, Seville, Spain. This installation has been included in the report as Amazon's largest on-site solar installation in the EU, a project designed to make the most of the site's energy potential. With more than 13,300 photovoltaic modules and an installed capacity of 5.26 MW, it combines a large rooftop solar installation and photovoltaic canopies, becoming a benchmark within Amazon's European renewable generation strategy.

This milestone is joined by the project developed at Amazon RMU1, in Murcia, Spain, where Enerland delivered Amazon's first battery energy storage system in Europe. With a capacity of 1 MW, this project marked a further step in the integration of innovative solutions to optimise energy management.

This recognition reflects the value of strategic partnerships in accelerating the energy transition and shows that collaboration between companies is key to moving towards a lower-emissions future.

At Enerland, we look forward to the next challenges alongside Amazon, convinced that innovation, technical excellence and commitment to sustainability will remain the foundation on which we build new projects. Thank you for trusting our team and for allowing us to be part of an initiative that is helping to transform Europe’s energy future.
