After almost 9 months of construction, Enerland Group presents PV Llano Grande, a 16.75 MWp project for the client Grupo Borja.
Enerland Group will add 16.75 MWp from PV Llano Grande for the client POTENZA, a Borja Group company, to its portfolio of projects built in Latin America. The project, which is divided into two parts, completed construction and the commissioning of both sections at the beginning of this year. In total, the site covers more than 79 hectares, with 31,020 modules installed, whose output is expected to feed 35,568 MWh of 100% renewable energy into the grid each year.
Corporate Social Responsibility in El Salvador
At Enerland, we are committed not only to the development of renewable energy, but also to achieving a sustainable future that is environmentally and socially responsible through good practice in every country where we are actively involved. Some of the measures we applied during the construction of these two plants include:
- Meetings with neighbouring communities to organise job fairs and hold discussions to address any potential impacts during the project’s development
- First aid training, fire extinguisher use and an evacuation drill in response to seismic activity. Not only Enerland staff took part; all direct and indirect construction bodies were also included.
- For both parks, more than 220 direct and indirect local jobs were created in roles related to mechanical, electrical and civil works, in addition to those providing support to colleagues on site.
- Once the works were completed, forest and fruit species native to each project's area of influence were planted. In total, more than 537 varieties of trees and shrubs were planted.
