Enerland Group participates in COREN 2023, which took place from 23 to 25 August at the Sheraton Presidente Hotel, San Salvador.

Last week, Dany Reyes, Country Manager of Enerland Group El Salvador, took part as a speaker at the most important energy event in Central America and the Caribbean: the Regional Energy Congress (COREN 2023), organised by the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI). The forum, which took place on 23, 24 and 25 August, focused primarily on the country's sustainability and energy efficiency, with "Energy Storage and Applications in the Electricity Market" as its central theme.

The forum began with presentations by major companies from more than 24 countries on their experience in the sector. They then analysed and discussed a range of topics of interest to the industrial sector in El Salvador and the Central American region. During the debate, Dany Reyes, as moderator of the meeting, led the different topics that were addressed:

  • The importance of energy storage systems in continuing the energy transition to renewable sources
  • Experience in different countries in the implementation of storage systems and the various services they provide to the grid
  • Need for regulatory progress to support the development of storage systems and their integration with renewable energy sources

"It has been a pleasure to have been part of such an interesting forum, now regarded as one of the most emblematic gatherings in the sector. If I had to draw one conclusion, it would be that the development of energy storage systems and their integration into electrical systems is key to avoiding any slowdown in the development of renewable sources and their contribution to the energy transition. At Enerland, we will work to continue bringing green energy to electricity generation in the region". Dany Reyes, Country Manager at Enerland Group El Salvador.
