Enerland Group attends the Economic Profitability and 2030 Agenda conference, organised by the UN Global Compact Network Spain, the Aragonese Institute for Development and the Ibercaja Foundation.
Yesterday, the Economic Profitability and Agenda 2030 conference took place at the Patio de la Infanta in Zaragoza, organised by the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact, the Aragonese Institute of Development and the Ibercaja Foundation. Convinced that economic profitability depends on achieving more sustainable production, during the event the report “Sustainability and economic profitability” was presented within the framework of Financial Education Week. In addition, to conclude the session, Zaragoza-based companies such as Begner presented their success stories in the SDGs most strategic to their businesses.
At present, progress on commitments to the SDGs is very slow and lacks ambition: the Global Compact is calling for greater analysis by companies, with formal commitments backed by quantitative targets and deadlines. It is expected that around 15% of the targets set by the 2030 Agenda will be met on time, but for most of the remainder the data show that progress has either stalled or even gone backwards as a result of the crises of recent years.
