On 28 and 29 September, our colleagues from Italy attended Energyear Italia 2022 in Milan, where Diego González, Head of Enerland Italy, took part as a speaker.
The Energyear Italia 2022 event was held in Milan on 28 and 29 September. Once again, Enerland once again took part in the country's most important renewable industry congress. This time, our regional manager, Diego González, took part as a speaker in the panel discussion: Energy storage, project analysis, business models and general considerations for project implementation.
Italy has been working steadily to expand renewable energy in recent years. At Enerland, we have a strong presence in the country, with a broad portfolio of projects under development totalling 1,500 MW. Given the global energy crisis, the sector has had to step up its efforts even further to accelerate the energy transition and achieve energy independence. Solar PV, together with wind power, is considered the most viable option to promote and deploy at present.
Energyear has become a new meeting point for the sector's leading players, both nationally and internationally. Over the two days of the event, numerous presentations were given on the latest advances in renewable technology. Particular attention was also paid to reviewing the targets that had been set and how to achieve them.
About the congress
The congress, which was held at UNAHOTELS in Milan, Italy, brought together more than 60 experts from around the world to discuss the current state of the sector in the region across 12 panel discussions. More than 500 people also attended, both in person and online. This year's key topics included:

- Energy storage
