At this environmental gathering, the Spain and Italy departments joined forces to continue promoting sustainability in projects and exchanging knowledge.
Sharing working methods and procedures to achieve better results: this was the premise of Enerland Group's Spanish and Italian teams in holding this special meeting between the two countries. It was the first stage of an exchange in which our environmental specialists were able to learn first-hand about the work carried out by their counterparts.
On this occasion, Davide Ricco, Ilaria Castagnetti and Michele del Vecchio from Enerland Italia’s Environmental department travelled to Zaragoza, the group’s headquarters. Daisy Rodríguez, head of the department in Spain, and Javier Franco coordinated the week’s agenda. The visit began with a presentation of the projects the department is working on in the country. This and the subsequent meetings placed particular emphasis on the development and construction phase of each plant, alternating with field visits to see on site what had been discussed in the office.
The environmental meeting between the two offices was enriched by the expertise of each country's team. From Spain, this highlighted their experience in resolving the issues that can arise during project development and construction, as well as their methodology for proceeding. Their colleagues in Italy, meanwhile, shared their knowledge of agrivoltaics. In the field, the Italian environmental team had the opportunity to visit projects at different stages: a 44 MWp project under construction, another in the final stage of works (our largest EPC project to date, at 136 MWp)... as well as the plants Tellus y Mitra, both in operation, and where the complementary environmental measures have already been implemented.
Gaining experience, growing as a team
"Sharing experiences and seeing how work is carried out in other geographies gives us a fantastic perspective when taking on new projects. It is especially interesting to discover first-hand what the development and construction of agrivoltaic projects in Italy entails, as this is an innovative project type that will sooner or later also arrive strongly in Spain. In addition, having the opportunity to exchange views with professionals of the calibre of Davide, Ilaria and Michele is a privilege for our team." - Javier Franco, technician in the Environment Department of Enerland Spain.
The meetings and field visits in Zaragoza were also combined with leisure time to allow both teams to strengthen their ties, including a pádel match between colleagues from Italy and Spain.
This exchange is expected to continue in future meetings, also in Italy, with the visit of the Spanish environmental team. A visit that will help both countries continue to grow in their developments and will allow us to keep improving as professionals.
