We continue consolidating our presence in Latin America with the construction of two new photovoltaic plants in Colombia.
Following the construction of the Canal del Dique photovoltaic plant for Surtigas in 2021, Enerland Group will shortly begin construction of two new photovoltaic plants in Colombia. Both projects, La Tolúa (26.19 MW) and Tierra Linda (12.71 MW), are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of the same year.
Across a site covering more than 68 hectares, a total of 72,720 bifacial solar panels will be installed on a tracker structure. For its execution, 160 direct local jobs will be created. In addition, approximately 60 indirect jobs will be created to support local development in the area.
In addition, for the construction of these two new photovoltaic plants in Colombia, Enerland Group has delivered technical training for local personnel with the aim of involving them in the mechanical assembly work.
Once completed, both plants will generate an average of 77.2 GWh of renewable energy. This energy is equivalent to that required to supply 57,314 households. It will also prevent the emission of 24,015 tonnes of polluting gases into the atmosphere each year, contributing to the country's sustainable development.
These two photovoltaic plants in Colombia are added to Enerland’s international portfolio on the continent, which currently totals 1,000 MW under development and 145 MW under construction.
New projects
“A year ago, we were building our first 5.5 MWp solar park. We are now facing this new challenge: building more than 38 MWp across two different locations. To achieve this, we have been preparing thoroughly for some time and building a highly solid multidisciplinary team. With all our expectations placed in it, we hope to deliver both projects with the success that has already come to define us and to expand our presence in Colombia, consolidating our position as one of the country's leading EPC contractors." Juan Pablo Garcia Silva - Director of Engineering and Quality - Enerland Group Colombia.
