On 25 March, Enerland and Monticell donated photovoltaic panels to the Colla Scouts de Nuestra Señora del Rosario group.
On 25 March, Enerland and Monticell collaborated with Colla Scouts on the Solar Scout Challenge, in which Scouts d’Aragón-MSC is taking part, by donating 14 photovoltaic panels for reuse. This action will help promote the Solar Challenge among the association's groups, facilitating the energy transition in summer camps. The key objective is to improve the sustainability of these activities. The donated material will be used so that the participating groups can make a significant change in electricity consumption. In addition, it will also be used to provide training on solar energy and photovoltaic installations among their members, thereby raising awareness of the use of renewable energy.
Colla Scouts travelled to the head office in Zaragoza to collect the material. Alberto Aparicio, Monticell Project Manager, was responsible for carrying out this initiative. A total of 14 modules were donated. Thanks to the installation of the solar panels this spring, they will be able to supply the camp's electricity during the summer. The facilities are located in Gavin, Huesca, a village at an altitude of 974 metres. A strategic and ideal location in the Aragonese Pyrenees. As well as teaching the next generation to appreciate the benefits of renewable energy, they will be able to be more sustainable together by being able to supply electricity to the campsite's appliances.
About Colla Scouts
Colla Scout N.S.R. is located in the Zaragoza district of La Almozara. It was founded in 1992. Since then, dozens of people have grown up and been trained there. They are a movement for children and young people. In addition, it also includes leaders, families and Christian communities as educational agents who trust in their ability to take responsibility for their development and shape the educational environments that make possible the scouting. Its commitment to all of them is channelled through an educational initiative, the Youth Programme, which aims at all times to respond to their needs and aspirations.
Activity carried out in support of SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; SDG 13: Climate Action
