Last week, Enerland Group took part in the eagerly awaited Renewable Energy Summit 2024 (SER 2024) in Guatemala as one of the event's sponsors.
On Wednesday, 31 January, the 2024 Renewable Energy Summit took place, with Enerland participating as one of the event's sponsors. Our colleagues Herbert Rodríguez, Head of On-Site Engineering Execution, and Gerardo Rodríguez, Project Manager, attended as company representatives from the El Salvador subsidiary.
This type of gathering promotes the creation of solid investment frameworks and the presentation of a proposal for strategic actions. These will not only enable the adaptability of new generation models within the electricity mix, but will also facilitate the development of new technologies that will ensure a smooth and efficient energy transition for all Guatemalans.
Renewable Energy Summit Summary
The Renewable Energy Generators Association -AGER- was founded in 2002 as a non-profit organisation. It was created to promote research, education and the use of renewable energy sources in Guatemala. Since then, bringing together and organising the largest possible number of stakeholders in the private renewable energy sector, they have created SER, a platform that drove the country's electrical transformation, during a day of keynote speeches, talks and panel discussions.
This year's edition drew the attendance and participation of 445 professionals, with a further 178 people joining via live stream. Lastly, the event featured 14 national and international speakers.
It has been a pleasure to be part of this gathering. We hope to return in 2025 and share our experiences of working in the country.
