The increase in demand for raw materials and the shortage of resources have brought about a necessary shift in awareness and habits. Waste prevention, reuse and a firm commitment to the development of renewable energy are essential actions to curb current emissions. At Enerland Group, we are committed to the principles of the circular economy for a sustainable future.
Aragón, through the Directorate-General for Planning and Economic Development and other organisations such as the CEOE, has promoted the Circular Seal initiative, with which we are aligned.
The Aragón Circular Seal will serve as a mark of public recognition for companies, local authorities and entities in general for their commitment to the circular economy model. It will also highlight the implementation of good practices and actions aimed at improving circularity. For the awarding of the seal, the degree to which circular economy principles have been implemented within business management is assessed. Its impact throughout the value chain and its contribution to achieving a sustainable economy in Aragon will also be taken into account. The objectives? To make it resource-efficient and competitive.
Committed to the circular economy
At Enerland, we are committed not only to the development of renewable energy, but also to achieving a sustainable and environmentally responsible future through it. For this reason, throughout all our processes, we apply measures to protect, conserve and restore the environment. Complementing our actions, we seek to raise awareness within the organisation of the importance of waste prevention, reuse and recycling.
Through our activity, we seek to minimise our impact on the planet as much as possible. To achieve this, we implement plans that allow us to close the loop by embracing the circular economy.
Events
During CONAMA 2022, we have already attended the first talks by experts in this field. Recently, our colleagues from the marketing and communications department attended the event: Circular Economy and Sustainability in Aragon. At the event, convened by the CEOE, several examples of good business practice carried out by different local industries were presented.
Furthermore, this week, our Head of Environment and Sustainability attended another event. On this occasion, it was the Aragón Circular Seal Award Ceremony. This call once again showed the interest of Aragon and the region's business community in changing the current model for one based on the circular economy and renewable sources.
