Work begins on the Grupo Arquero solar project. This photovoltaic installation will connect 1.4 MW to the country's electricity grid.

Work begins on Grupo Arquero, our first photovoltaic project in El Salvador. This installation, whose structure will be ground-mounted, will be the first in the country.

Under the turnkey model, Enerland is beginning the execution of this plant and is continuing with its plans in the country at a good pace. Before the end of 2015, the company expects to have at least 6 photovoltaic plants connected to the grid and operational. It should be noted that all of them were awarded through tenders.

The Grupo Arquero project, will connect 1.4 MW of power to the electricity grid. The photovoltaic modules will be installed on a site covering more than 3 hectares and will be located in Barrio Nuevo, in the San Vicente region. Likewise, the solar plant will feature a single-axis tracker structure that will allow maximum performance and profitability to be achieved from the installation. In addition, in terms of key dates, this project will begin commissioning in March of this same year.

This project is expected to produce an average of 2,940 MWh of energy per year. This is equivalent to the electricity needed to supply approximately 900 households in the country. In addition, thanks to the generation of solar renewable energy, this electricity production will prevent the emission of more than 1,444 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.

Furthermore, the company continues to work on its growth plan. In parallel with the execution of this project, we are continuing to work on the development of the other 5 plants we have been awarded in the country. As mentioned above, by the end of this year, all of them will be operational, feeding their power into the Central American country's electricity grid.
