We began the construction of two new photovoltaic parks in Aragon. For these projects, previously, we had also been fully responsible for every phase of their development.
We are presenting the two new photovoltaic parks whose construction is starting in Aragon: Fuentes and Botorrita. Both parks will have 1 MWp of capacity and will be located in the province of Zaragoza. These two projects will form part of our portfolio of 1 MW plants such as the San Mateo Photovoltaic Park, which completed construction this summer.
Once the respective construction works are completed, they will generate 2,654 megawatt-hours of clean energy from photovoltaic technology. This combined output is equivalent to the consumption of 643 Spanish households. Lastly, given their sustainable value and thanks to the use of this renewable source, a total of 908 tonnes of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere will be avoided each year. This reduction will not only contribute to achievement of Spain's sustainability objectives under the 2030 Agenda, but also in the country's energy independence.
Construction phase of the two new photovoltaic plants in Aragon
As mentioned above, before construction began on these two plants, our team also carried out all phases of the project’s development and design in full. Throughout September, earthworks and fencing will be undertaken. This will be followed by pile driving for the structures and, finally, a total of more than 5,000 solar panels will be installed across the two plants.
Investment in renewables
These smaller-scale photovoltaic plants, which require between 2 and 3 hectares of land, are a major investment opportunity. Their long service life allows our clients to generate strong financial returns over time.
In addition, investing in this type of energy means investing in the future. They prevent tonnes of annual CO2 emissions from being released into the atmosphere and do not produce any kind of pollution, improving the quality of life in the places where they are located.
