In the study published by CEPYME500 in the 2021 edition based on 2019 data, Enerland stands out as one of the medium-sized companies that has recorded the strongest growth in recent years in Aragon.
Based on data collected for 2019, CEPYME500 analyses companies over the course of its more than 300 pages, grouping them according to the economic sector to which they belong: industry, commercial distribution, transport, business services, etc. To select the 500 SMEs, different financial variables and indicators of innovation and international expansion are combined.
Once the group of companies has been selected, certain criteria must be met to enter the ranking, among which we would highlight:
- Be a public limited company or limited liability company
- Be more than four years old
- Have a sales figure at the close of the 2019 financial year of between 10 and 200 million euros.
Companies from Aragon
In the national ranking presented in the report, Aragón has 32 companies selected on the basis of criteria such as business growth, results, ability to generate added value, employment, innovation and international reach, according to El Economista.
At Enerland, we would highlight our exponential growth since 2019 despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 crisis. Since then, our workforce in Spain has grown from 27 employees to around one hundred. That figure doubles when viewed internationally. Likewise, in terms of our international presence, our offices have increased from six to 11, and we have also entered a new continent: Africa.
What is CEPYME 500?
According to its own website, CEPYME500 is an initiative carried out by the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. Through this initiative, five hundred Spanish companies that are leaders in aspects related to business growth are identified, selected and promoted. In this way, its main function is to grant both national and international recognition to the selected companies. The aim of the initiative is to encourage and support the selected companies in continuing their growth.
