Enerland takes part in the Charity Race organised by Cruz Roja and El Periódico de Aragón
Following the invasion of Ukraine, the country is in a conflict situation in which every bit of help counts. Collaboration is needed to help the most vulnerable people survive the difficult circumstances they are facing. For this reason, the Red Cross and El Periódico de Aragón organised a charity race in support of Ukraine to raise funds for humanitarian aid.
At Enerland Group, we wanted to do our bit for this cause. We therefore encouraged all our employees to take part in the charity run organised by the non-profit organisation in Spain. Twenty-five employees decided to run the 5-kilometre course.
Enerland at the Solidarity Race in support of Ukraine
At the company, we love taking part in this kind of sporting event because we believe it is the best way to promote a healthy lifestyle and the company’s values in support of different charitable causes. Last year, in the midst of the post-COVID period, Enerland took part in its first charity race in support of Food Bank. This aid was allocated to support the most vulnerable families following the crisis caused in our country by COVID-19. In addition, months later, another charitable initiative was carried out in support of the same institution.
In addition, these activities strengthen relationships between colleagues and promote our company's internal values. On this occasion, while some took part individually, others formed different teams.
The ultimate goal was to support a cause such as helping refugees from the conflict in Ukraine through an activity that fosters team spirit, competition, personal improvement and communication.
We would like to make special mention of our colleague Ignacio Nieto, an engineer in the project development department, who finished second in the overall race rankings.
