This December 2021, we are ending the year with more news than ever. This time, Enerland is growing in Colombia with new additions to the team.

We have ended this month and the year by welcoming new members to the Colombia team. We will also share a summary of the news from December 2021 that accompanied this announcement:

Internal news December 2021

This month, Oscar Andres Berrio Cruz, Hernando Restrepo Salja and José Alfambra attended Energyear Andina last week and were responsible for representing Enerland Group at this important industry gathering. There, they gained a deeper understanding of the current situation in Colombia and connected with different professionals to seek solutions to any difficulties currently affecting the sector.

In addition, our colleagues from Enerland Italia attended the “Italia Solare Forum 2021” held in Rome. The event brought together institutions, photovoltaic companies and industry experts to discuss how and when the 2030-2050 photovoltaic development targets can be achieved for the three sectors: residential, industrial and utilities.

Finally, our colleagues from the Marketing and Communications department attended the 6th Edition of the Awards in recognition of Social Responsibility in Aragon. At the event, various companies and self-employed professionals were recognised and awarded as benchmarks for their good practices.

External news

It is expected that in August 2022 the first space probe, NASA’s Psyche – National Aeronautics and Space Administration – powered by solar energy, will be launched to propel itself through space and carry out its operations on the asteroid known as PSYCHE 16. It is clear that the use of solar energy is extending into more areas beyond the residential and business sectors.

As for news in Spain, according to the report published by SolarPower Europe, Spain, together with Germany, will be among the leading solar markets in 2021. Throughout the year, we have seen the sector's strong growth. At Enerland Group, we are truly proud of this, as well as of having been able to play a part in that growth.

Finally, according to data published by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the costs of renewable technologies continue to fall year after year, which means opportunities for expansion and installation are increasing. The main problem is our dependence on fossil fuels and on the countries that supply them to us.
