The Opico solar facility, located in the Salvadoran town of San Juan de Opico in the department of La Libertad, covers an area of approximately 12 hectares. Single-axis trackers were used in the installation of the structure of this photovoltaic plant. This plant produces an average of 14,423 MWh of energy a year, which is equivalent to supplying around 5,000 homes in El Salvador. Moreover, the production of this renewable energy reduces the emission of CO2 into the environment by over 7 tons.
