In 2013, Enerland opened its first subsidiary in El Salvador. The company was awarded two projects that same year in the CAESS-CLP-RNV-001-2013 tender. Both these photovoltaic facilities, located in the province of Zacatecoluca, became operational a year later, generating an average of more than 6,300 MWh of solar energy a year. Single-axis tracker module structures were used in both the PVGEN project and the Grupo Roca project to go one step further in capturing photovoltaic energy and achieving greater performance and profitability from the photovoltaic solar plant. The nominal power of both solar farms amounts to 2.8 MW.
