In 2012, Enerland opened its first subsidiary in Mexico through which it began to develop several projects, including the Ometepec solar plant. The Ometepec photovoltaic facility came into operation in 2015, supplying 500 kWp of power to the grid and generating an average of 995 MWh a year. The production of this green energy is the equivalent of the energy needed to supply more than 300 Mexican homes. This renewable energy enables this solar facility to avoid the emission of approximately 450 tons of CO2 into the environment, thereby helping to achieve an increasingly sustainable future.
