We attended the event organized by UNEF “Desarrollo de plantas solares bajo criterios de excelencia ambiental” in Toledo, Spain.

Today, February 22, thanks to the presence of Daisy Rodríguez as a representative of Enerland, we attended the event organized by UNEF and the council of Castilla La Mancha: “Desarrollo de plantas solares bajo criterios de excelencia ambiental”. Our colleague Daisy, head of the Environment department, has traveled to Toledo, in order to witness the debate on sustainability and the criteria of environmental excellence in the development of photovoltaic plants.

Speakers from different companies in the sector have participated in the meeting. They have been joined by institutional representatives of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge or the Spanish Association for Environmental Impact Assessment, among others.

Our colleague reflects on her attendance at the event:

“I came with great interest to this conference. It has been an absolute success. Proof of this is the great reception and massive attendance of the main promoters, agents and associations of the national photovoltaic sector”.

At Enerland, we are absolutely clear about one thing: the key to success and differentiation is based on designing projects of quality and excellence accompanied by a good environmental impact study drawn up with the ideal degree of detail to guarantee the reception capacity of the territory while respecting the natural values and cultures of each area.

What’s more, another challenge is opened by incorporating social criteria in the processing of projects. It is a mistake to think that we have a “social license” just because it is a renewable sector. Dialogue, participation and collaboration with town halls, associations and interested agents is key to obtain environmentally and socially sustainable projects.

We are aware of the challenge we face: tough, difficult and slow. But the commitment of the Management is firm and real; our projects include environmental, social and governance criteria, always seeking excellence and added value.

In conclusion, we will remain faithful to our sustainable commitment by learning everyday. Knowing the latest news and innovations in environmental terms and applying them in all our projects is the key to our success.

We hope to continue attending events like these where industry experts discuss and provide their most advanced knowledge on the current situation of the photovoltaic sector in terms of sustainability.
