We attended SPIREC ’23, the International Renewable Energy conference held in conjunction with GENERA in Spain.

We attended Spirec ’23, the International Conference on Renewable Energies in Spain held between 20 and 23 February. This event was a great opportunity to take stock of the current state of the energy transition and renewable energies after a year of enormous upheaval. The meeting was attended by numerous representatives of governments, companies and society at European level. Among them, the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister Teresa Ribera. Both, together with other representatives from different European countries, were in charge of the opening of the cycle of conferences that took place during the three days of the event. Our head of the environment department, Daisy Rodriguez Toledano, was the Enerland representative attending the first conferences.

Genera 2023

Compared to 2022, the fair brought together 60% more companies from the sector, a total of 385 exhibitors, of which 141 were international and of 27 nationalities. In addition, this edition stood out for its large number of visitors, surpassing the record of 28,948 attendees in 2010. “It was a great opportunity to learn about the latest technological developments in the biodiversity conservation sector. There are more and more solutions that allow the integration of plants into the environment without causing negative effects”. – Javier Franco, Enerland Group cartographer.

During the three days of the event, colleagues from different departments of Enerland Group had the opportunity to establish new contacts. In addition, it was also a great opportunity to meet with suppliers and learn about the latest developments in the sector. “The genera is one of the most important trade events in our sector. It is a perfect opportunity to get closer to the key players in the industry and to learn about the latest technological and environmental innovations. It was clear that photovoltaics is still the leading energy source and that it still has a long way to go. – Pilar Asta, head of marketing and communication at Enerland Group.

We hope to meet again in the next edition.
