We started the construction of the new solar parks in El Salvador.

A few months ago we announced the first connection of a photovoltaic park installed on the ground in El Savior. Today, following the established agenda, we celebrate the beginning of the construction of the new Enerland solar parks in El Salvador.

The company has been awarded six projects to develop and build in the Central American country. After completing the first photovoltaic plant , in March of this year, we continued with the execution of the other projects.

The two new parks PVGen and Grupo Roca, awarded through the CAESS-CLP-RNV tender- 001-2013 are located in the province of Zacatecoluca in the department of La Paz. They will connect 2.8MW of power to the electricity grid and will begin to be operational in the middle of this year. In addition, these installations carried out on the ground will have photovoltaic module structures with one-axis trackers and will generate an average energy of more than 6,300 MWh. Thanks to these structures, we will improve the capture of solar radiation and achieve a higher performance of the photovoltaic solar plant.

On the other hand, the execution of both the PVGen project and the Roca Group, contracts have been signed under the “turnkey” modality, also known as “EPC”.

Enerland is growing at a good pace

Enerland has been operating in the Central American country for less than a year through its subsidiary. During this time, the company has grown apace. So much so that by the end of this year 2015, the 6 projects that we have awarded in the country are expected to be operational. On the other hand, we continue our expansion across the continent. With these projects, there will already be 9 plants executed in America.

Although we are currently only present in Mexico and El Salvador, we continue to study the potential of the other countries to continue our expansion plan.
